Early Years (The Foundation Stage)

The Foundation Stage begins when children reach the age of three and covers the nursery and reception years. The Foundation Stage curriculum is organised in six areas of learning:

  • personal, social and emotional development

  • language and literacy

  • mathematical development

  • knowledge and understanding of the world

  • physical development

  • creative development

By providing a high quality early years' experience, building upon what children already know and can do, we aim to provide a sound basis for lifelong learning.
