NEWSLETTER November 2007
Please find time to read this newsletter – it contains dates for future reference, items about school activities, reminders of school policy and invitations to events.
Staffing news:
We offer our best wishes to Mrs McClean who starts her maternity leave today and we welcome Mr Graham Scott to the staff, who will be covering Mrs McClean’s period of leave.
Children in Need/Non-uniform day:
Last Friday, 16th November, was Children in Need Day. Thank you for helping us to support this event – at the last count we had raised £525.00 which is a fantastic effort. Well done to everyone!
Individual Photographs:
School photograph proofs were sent home recently. If you wish to purchase photographs please could you return the proofs with your order clearly marked and including the money. Thank you.
Charity Appeal:
Before half term the children took part in a charity appeal for the NSPCC, our chosen charity. The children have raised the fantastic sum of £1337.66 money and Mrs Matthews from the NSPCC came into school last Thursday to say ‘Thank you’ to the children for all their hard work.
Tesco vouchers:
Thank you for your continued support in collecting vouchers for school. We are currently counting them and will let you know how many we’ve received and what we are going to order with them.
PTA:
The next event is the Christmas Fair to be held on Sunday 9th December 11.00 to 2.00. We will be holding a non-uniform day on Friday 30th November and asking the children to bring chocolates and tombola gifts as a ‘fine’ for wearing their own clothes. More details will follow.
