Staffing news:
There will be some staffing changes during the autumn term. Mrs Smith will be taking maternity leave and therefore Miss McEwen will start the year teaching Year 2, with Mrs Smith supporting classes in KS 1 for the first few weeks of term. Miss Barton will not be returning to Park View in September, as she has decided to continue to live and work in China, so Miss Malley will be a permanent member of staff and continue teaching in Year 1. Miss Bilinkewycz is leaving to take up a post at another school and we are in the process of appointing her replacement for September.
We wish Miss Bilinkewycz and Miss Barton all the very best in the future and welcome Miss Malley and Miss McEwen to our staff team.
Dinner Money
School finishes on Friday 20th July and as Securicor do not make any collections during the summer holidays, could I please ask that all arrears of dinner money are paid up to date as soon as possible. It would be very helpful for Mrs Moxon if all dinner money is paid into school by MONDAY 16th JULY.
From next September there will be an increase in the cost of school meals. Dinners will cost £8.50 per week, £1.70 per day. Please could dinner money be sent into school on a Monday morning each week in an envelope marked with your child’s name and class, and if paying by cheque could you please write your address on the back of the cheque.
Thank you.
MAGAZINES FOR 5T
As
part of their art lessons, 5T need to use pictures from magazines. If you have
any magazines that you have finished reading, we would be very grateful if they
could be sent into school. Thank you.
EVENTS:
Next week sees the annual visit of the Life Education caravan to school. Every class will have an opportunity to visit and take part in activities linked to healthy living and staying safe. There will also be a chance for you to drop in and speak to Lynda about the planned activities and look round the mobile unit – please look out for notices advertising the time and date.
Sports Days will take place next week – weather permitting!! The plan is:
Tuesday 10th July Years 5 and 6
Wednesday 11th July Years 1 and 2
Thursday 12th July Years 3 and 4
The
Leavers disco for Year 6 pupils will take place on Tuesday 17th July
from 4.15 until 6.45.
The PTA AGM will be held on Tuesday 10th July at 7.30p.m. Please come and join us in the staffroom if you can.
HEELIES:
A number of children have asked if they can wear their ‘heelies’ for school. You will appreciate that our building and school grounds are not suitable places for children wearing this type of footwear as we have a lot of steps to climb both indoors and out. Please make sure that all children are wearing suitable footwear for school, and the wearing of heelies is not allowed.
